THE POTENTIEL OF THE YOUTH AT THE HEART OF LP4Y'S INITIATIVE

LP4Y believes that all Youth have immense potential. Through tailored support, they develop an entrepreneurial spirit and become active participants in their lives, contributing to a more inclusive, sustainable, and prosperous world.

EXCLUDED YOUTH HAVE EXCEPTIONAL POTENTIAL

Youth living in severe poverty and exclusion have significant assets in the professional world. As productive members of society, they have considerable potential to build a fair and just society.

Each year:

  • Help 2,000 young people escape poverty by providing them with access to decent, sustainable employment and social inclusion.

  • Empower 15,000 people from local communities through positive civic actions that benefit both their personal well-being and the climate.

  • Support 450 volunteers in developing Catalyst behaviors.

Each year:

  • Convince 2,000 leaders (business executives, civil society organizations, institutions) to agree on and implement solutions for sustainable employment for marginalized youth.

  • Engage the general public so that extreme poverty and the exclusion of youth are no longer seen as inevitable, but rather as an injustice that can be combated.

Each year:

  • Convince 100 entities (companies, civil society organizations, and institutions) to combat exclusion through sustainable solutions for decent work.

  • Train and equip 5,000 individuals from these entities to take concrete action to promote the sustainable inclusion of the most vulnerable young people.

FROM THE SLUMS TO

THE UNITED NATIONS

Today, hundreds of organizations actively support LP4Y initiatives. Since 2020, LP4Y has held Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), strengthening its expertise and legitimacy to represent excluded Youth.

Thanks to its dynamic team in New York, LP4Y:

  • Organizes and participates in events and expert panels

  • Advocates for access to decent living conditions for the most vulnerable young people, particularly young women, at UN events

  • Shares practical solutions to connect statements to concrete, meaningful and effective actions

  • Provides opportunities for vulnerable Youth to share their perspectives with UN officials and Member State representatives
